#wetWednesday - Kennel Day

Hmph. And I thought we were past these for a while, but no. Once again I wake up to pouring rain. Allll Dayyyy.Our Facilities aren't very big right now, so we don't exactly have a nice covered room to work in (though there is a lot of land) sooo that meant we were outside.

Not that the pups cared, they didn't even notice!

#WetWednesday - Meet Daniel

And another Wednesday heads out of here with a splash. And it couldn't have come at a worse time. Dog introductions 1:1 is hard enough by oneself, but add in three dogs plus a thunderstorm.. and that just equals chaos!

But anyways - Meet Wilderwood Service Dog #5 and SD #8 over all.

Meet Daniel: 10 month old Golden Retriever/Poodle Cross - also brother too one Eden, whom you all saw a couple of months ago. Daniel will be with me...until I hear otherwise!!

One thing to know about going into public with an Goldendoodle....is wow you'll get TONS of questions. After picking Daniel up from his foster, we went in PetsMart to pick up some grooming supplies. (Gideon is need of it); a family with two litter girls followed us around the ENTIRE time we were there, hugging on him, laying on him, talking to him, talking got me, pouncing on him again once we were able to tear ourselves away....it had gone from cute to annoying real quickly, and I just kept running into them!!

I left as fast as possible, *eye roll*; But Daniel did really well though :D

Once home, then chaos ensued pretty much. But we're all inside, and had some time exercising, and starting to get Daniel acclimated to my home.

{Gideon is ecstatic to have another big dog in the house...even though Daniel not into playing at the moment.}
He's showing typical stress signs, so we're he'll just get to hang out for about week, before we start putting him through some paces.

--Speaking of wetness, I bathed all three dogs last weekend.....all at the same time:

That wasn't the plan, but once Bubbles and Texas were in, Gideon couldn't be left out!!

Well....our Florida vacation has been....tiring...fun...and miserable all at the same time. Our plan was too be back today....but......that's not going to happen.

As I type this I am sitting in a nice hotel in the middle of Georgia, stranded until morning, IF the mechanics are able to fix our car.

They said something about a timing belt..(s0b) which is NOT good. This has been one of those days you want to just reverse time and crawl back into bed. Hindsight is 20/20 what can I say.

Anyways in other news

I MISS MY DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And according to my sitter they miss me as well, and have ruined two pairs of shoes in my absences. Oh well.

What else would you expect from bored dogs?? This is probably the first and last time they get to stay home while I'm on vacation.!!

Friday I'll be picking up my newest trainee - Male Golden named Gideon whose a 10 month old bundle of energy. Just what I need from coming off this harrowing trip.

I'll post lots of pics on my photo/personal blogs when I get home, but thought you guys might want to know why its so quiet around here. haha

#WetWednesday - Meetings

And once again, our fair town is hit with another raging thunderstorm. This is getting old fast. But in other news, I broke down and bought a seat hammock/cover thing for my dad's car. Ben sheds like no other, and I was tired of hearing the comlaints from my non-dog-lover framily.

Here's the gang trying to figure out how to get to me. :D

#WetWednesday - Playtime

Ever since I've moved to TN, in January, I'm pretty sure its rained EVERY Wednesday, and today was no exception...
Rain was only part of the ordeal, for most of the afternoon, it thundered and rained cats and dogs.
Jordan and Texas were not bothered by all of the noise outside, while Bubbles and Ben, huddled under my feet.

Jordan is a full-blooded lab to the stomach, and will chomp your hand off trying to get treats. (Puppy teeth HURT!) Today I tricked her into eating her meds plain. Silly Dog gulped them down n/p! (and barely left my hand intact)

But before that happened we did get some playtime in outside, during the muggy morning.
Ben and I did some training, Texas and Bubbles dug a hole, Jordan sat and watched the proceedings.Fun Times all around! =)

#WetWednesday - Texas Speaks

Yo Guys!

Wow have we had a crazzzzyy weekend!! Mom has only told you about a little of it. But it was a blast!! We had like 5 dogs in here, and we played as much as possible!!!!

The black one is a guide dog, mom had at one time or another, and the orange one is Eden; he's part of the program Ben is in. He wasn't much fun at all, cause he just stayed under mom's desk for most of the time. He did come out a little bit on Sat/Sun and played for a teensy weensy bit.

Anyways they both left on Monday, and we were so tired we slept for like....ALL EVENING.

Tuesday was boring - Mom and Ben left for a while, and then came back and left again. Some dog related stuff.

Today all it did was RAIN! It stopped for a little bit and mom ran us outside for a quick walkie up the hill, to her parents house. Her dryer stopped working so she has to haul her clothes up there to dry them. But while we were there it started to pour!!

But the silly lady didn't just stay inside until it stopped...nooo she had to walk us ALL back HOME in the RAIN! We were all SOAKED by the time we got back.

Anyways as dried off, we broke out all the new toys mom had bought us! Cause when Rei and Eden were here, we all had fun tearing up every toy in the house...cept for the bones. Mom said from this point on she's not buying stuffed toys.

I'm just like whatever, cause these new toys are awesome, she's going to get some more, cause we're going to have some more visitors coming soon!

Note from Erin:
When I'm buying toys, I just by for the big dogs....Texas will haul around the biggest toys and have fun so...whats the point of buying little?

And you know the drill.

As I was telling someone else, I don't make "specialer" allowances for Texas due to his size...mainly because he is the bully of the family!
