Its in the job description! Buut I got all covered in muds, so mom decided it was time for a bath. You know how much I luuv baths. I even got back in when Mom decided it was bubbles turn!!

Saturday, it rained all.day.long. So me and Bubbles (and mom) slept for a long time, and mom made some new foods, than gave it to me an Bubbles when she didn't like it! (I don't even know why she didn't like it, it was super yummy!)

Sunday I went on a car ride with mom, but that was it. Super duper Boring.

Theeeeeeerrrre ain't no bugs on meeeee...........
There may be bugs .....
On some of you mugs......
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
There ain't no bugs on ME!!!

Anymore!

Yah I had some bugs on me. let me tell you THEY HURT! I had to scratch and itch and bit and they wouldn't even leave me alone!! I only got them when I went to stay with my Aunt Libby in NC, while mom was gone away. And she didn't like dat at ALL and gave me and my bed, and her dogs, and the floors and the couch and her car a LOTTA BATHS, so day would go away. I even had that stinky FrontDoor   Frontline stuff, but it didn't even work! Den mom came and took me back to TN and there were no more bugs ...untillllll..mom took me wit her and my other Aunties on a boat trip, cept I couldn't go on so mom had too stay with me, but she said that's cause she weren't going to go rafting anyway. Butt anywooofs, the boat places was in the NC place so gues WHAT!?! When I got home I has a lotta of bug dirt allover my butt.
So mom had a freak out and gave me ANOTER BATH!?!?! Butt.. it wasn't too to bad cause then there weren't no more bug dirt on me. Mom guessed dat my frontline stuff was working cause she didn't find any allive bugs. Mom now says dat I can't go to NC for a couple months till all the bugs all die off.

I'm ok with dat.

PEES. My mom probably shoulda used the Advantage stuffs! I'm just sayin.

Texas Log #4 - Confessions

Weather: Sunshiny
Mood: Sniffy
Hunger Levels 0-10: 5
Activity: Sniffing the porch...I thought I saw a puddy tat.

Texas here - Its confession time...I don't admit this easily, but when their is strong incriminating evidence against me, you know...what's a dog to do?  I have a hard time my own mom would do this too me, but I watched her with a shocked expression. Who knew she would stoop so low!?
I still am having a hard time even as I bark this.

*sniff*

But ok, what is it you ask?

You might want to be sitting down.....

.........

........

Good grief go "SIT" already.

..................................

Comfortable? Good.

So yes it was a pleasant afternoon, the birds were singing in the trees and I'd just located this awesome poop spot outside. Of course I rolled in it. AH heavenly I tell you. ...and i don't use words like "heavenly" much..

So I come when mom calls me, go inside, when all of the sudden she swoops me up and walks me into that water room the humans area ALWAYS in. (TEXAS!!?!) And she puts me down in the other giant water bowl, (not the one you drink out of the other one) and starts with the water.

Then she starts massaging my neck, then my back, right at the spot above the tail...ooooo....it was awesome, I just sat right down and let her pet alll over me. I was even sad when she stopped. I know mom said it was a bath but boy did it feel good!! And if I squinted I wouldn't even feel the water! ....even though I actually like water....

*sigh. There you go. My secrets out.
now...

Bath Time

Dear FurPals,

If someone knows, would you please mind telling me the reason for the torture, our humans call baths?? I can't figure it out, and don't know what it was I did to deserve a bath?

I'm really a very classy pup, and I rarely roll in stinky stuff like some I could name...(Texas: HEY!! MOM!??!) If I do roll, its only in something of the highest quality of smells.

So there is really no need for a bath! Mom said something about me visiting my foster mom next week, and that I need to smell good or something.

Seriously?

She loves me just the way I am, so there is really no need for me to get all fancied up! *whew* But I survived, and I...uh..suppose..i smell..bEtTer..(gag)

Hope standing in the bathtub with her head hanging out the side, looking sad,her hair has been artfully arranged to stick straight up with shampooHope in the tub, pre-washing...she doensn't know what's about to hit her!

Outings This Week
Monday mom introduced me to my service dog harness. I don't really like wearing that silly vest much, so mom was hoping that we could go ahead and move me into my vest, and me be ok with that.

Guess what? I"M NOT!!

We we were going to go see a friend's child who was playing in the Kville Youth Orchestra and it was my turn to go...whoopteedoo. Mom decided to go ahead and put my harness on about 20 minutes before we were supposed to leave.

This was my reaction:
Hope curled up on a dog bed, with her head facing the wall..she is wearing a leather harness which fits like a normal dog walking harness, but with a handle attached at the back.

I pouted all the way to to the Theater, and then tried to scratch it off as we walked in. Once We got settled, I went to sleep; and slept through the whole thing. Well except for the part where they were banging the drums around, but hey! I had a nap to get in, so it didn't disturb me much.

Tuesday, we were back out at the kennels for several hours, while Mom did whatever she does out there. Victoria and I just hang out in the yard for the most part, and play with whoever else gets put in with us.

{Hope and Victoria sit behind the fence in the playyard.}
When we get home, Texas is always soo happy to see us, but by this time, we are both completely zonked, and cannot even THINK about moving. So he'll sit and bark at us..but we ignore him.

Thursday, mom and I went on a long ride, to a place with lots of cars and people. She called it "college" and we walked around and went to lots of desks and then left.Good. That's over.

Or not...

Then we went to like 3 other places; I didn't really like going, since I had to where that stupid thing on my back; not only that but mom kept holding the HANDLE; which I most DEFTNTLY hated.

Boy was I glad to be back home.

Victoria went out yesterday to a play and dinner. I was happy to hang out with Texas and Bubbles at home.

Ira thought it would be great to roll in something nice and stinky, so I thought it would nice to give her a bath. Sort of a give take sorta deal. LOL.

#WetWednesday - Meet Daniel

And another Wednesday heads out of here with a splash. And it couldn't have come at a worse time. Dog introductions 1:1 is hard enough by oneself, but add in three dogs plus a thunderstorm.. and that just equals chaos!

But anyways - Meet Wilderwood Service Dog #5 and SD #8 over all.

Meet Daniel: 10 month old Golden Retriever/Poodle Cross - also brother too one Eden, whom you all saw a couple of months ago. Daniel will be with me...until I hear otherwise!!
Daniel - Goldendoodle

One thing to know about going into public with an Goldendoodle....is wow you'll get TONS of questions. After picking Daniel up from his foster, we went in PetsMart to pick up some grooming supplies. (Gideon is need of it); a family with two litter girls followed us around the ENTIRE time we were there, hugging on him, laying on him, talking to him, talking got me, pouncing on him again once we were able to tear ourselves away....it had gone from cute to annoying real quickly, and I just kept running into them!!

I left as fast as possible, *eye roll*; But Daniel did really well though :D

Once home, then chaos ensued pretty much. But we're all inside, and had some time exercising, and starting to get Daniel acclimated to my home.
Daniel, Gideon and Texas
{Gideon is ecstatic to have another big dog in the house...even though Daniel not into playing at the moment.}
He's showing typical stress signs, so we're he'll just get to hang out for about week, before we start putting him through some paces.

--Speaking of wetness, I bathed all three dogs last weekend.....all at the same time:
Gideon, Bubbles and Texas in the Tub
That wasn't the plan, but once Bubbles and Texas were in, Gideon couldn't be left out!!
