And as is customary for my organization, it is once again time for us to trade dogs. Not something I really ever enjoy doing; but its the way things are. Gideon will be moving on to another trainer who will continue what I have started. Loose leash walking, working him in the real world doing service dog work, etc..
While its been fun having four dogs, I am ready to have some sanity back, having four dogs with different energy levels, has been interesting to say the least. I have to constantly remember to switch gears/tactics when working with all of them.
But despite our challenges I feel we've made significant progress.
Goodbye my goofy golden pal.

He will make a great service dog once the time comes, and do great things with the person he is selected to help. You do a great thing with these dogs!
Erin, thanks for all you do for Wilderwood! I love Gideon's kerchief, is that what you call it? Is that how you spell it? I love your blog, too!
Hope he does good!
I love those pictures:)

Ha ha Dee, its called a Bandanna :D Thank you for you kind words. :D
Momma says she can't imagine keeping a pup and then giving him away over and over. She really had a hard time when we fostered Scooter a few weeks ago. It must be even harder after all the work and training you do. He looks like a sweet boy.
Love and hugs,
Twix
Hi Twix, Actually all the work makes it easier, as you know they are going to do a job, that will change someone's life.
oh my, and I thought we had it hard back when we had two! We've considered fostering now that we only have Baxter, but figure it's still in the future, just not now cause Baxter came from a house with 40 dogs. I think he still enjoys his alone time with us. :)
My hats off to you for what you do!
