Meet Ben

ben sticks out his tougue
Yep! Ben's back...but this time, for good...as a service dog in training! His owners decided that they couldn't keep him, and donated him to our organization.

We don't normally take older dogs into our program, due to all the work you need to put into these dogs from 7-8weeks old on up. Socialization is the most important aspect of training a service dog. But Ben is special, and we're going to do our best with him.

This upcoming week, we'll be getting him checked out by our vet, and get him a service dog vest; and start taking around town to see how he does.
I've already started working on the basics such as Sit(which he knew), Down, Wait, Come, Let's Go. His recall is.....excellent, and his picking up everything sooo quickly!
I'm really looking forward to working with him!!!
